With the Terminal for Stripe and WooCommerce plugin, you can use a Stripe M2 or BBPOS Chipper reader to perform in-person credit card transactions directly from your e-commerce site in WordPress. In this Setup guide, we’ll walk you through connecting your website to the Arcane POS mobile application, connecting your Stripe M2 or BBPOS Chipper reader to the mobile app, and performing a transaction.
You should have already installed the WooCommerce and WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugins on your WordPress site, as well as the Terminal for Stripe and WooCommerce plugin. If you haven’t installed and activated the Terminal plugin, please select the appropriate button below to see the installation and configuration guide for the applicable version. Our free article explains how to install and setup the FREE Terminal for Stripe and WooCommerce, while our pro article covers how to install and setup the PRO Terminal for Stripe and WooCommerce. You won’t be able to set up or operate your reader until you have completed all necessary steps from the plugin setup guide.
Since the Stripe M2 and BBPOS Chipper are not web-based devices (Bluetooth connected via the iOS/Android mobile SDKs for native applications), our mobile application is required to operate the device with your WordPress site. Before you can perform a transaction, you will need to connect your website to the Arcane POS mobile application. You will only need to do this setup once.
*Note: Steps 4-8 will have to be completed any time the Bluetooth connection between the reader and your mobile device is disrupted. When performing multiple transactions in one session without disabling Bluetooth or turning off your device, these steps will only be required once.
The Stripe M2 or BBPOS Chipper reader setup procedure is now complete. You are now ready to start using your reader to perform in-person credit card transactions for your business, directly from your WordPress site.
