“What is IoT?” With Matthew Romagnoli

Even if you don’t know exactly what is IoT, you’ve likely experienced, or at least witnessed, its impact on people’s daily lives…

From replacing the empty flour in the pantry to adjusting the bed so someone stops snoring, the Internet of Things is introducing new changes to the way we live our lives. We discuss this ever-evolving topic with Matthew Romagnoli in our latest podcast; IoT Changes.  Matthew Romagnoli is a technology-focused marketing professional. For the past 8 years, he has been researching and writing articles/marketing material for small businesses. You might remember Matthew from his blog post, The Importance of Top-Level Domains he wrote on our blog last month. Here is a small excerpt of the podcast:

IoT really is permeated everywhere into your home, or could be, depending on how. But I think the future is probably looking towards things like replacement parts or even as far as maybe, finishing the flour while you’re cooking and I don’t know. And that’s kind of what me and Mike were talking about. Like, will that kind of go in a direction like that? Is that something people will eventually do? You know? And then the whole aspect of voice search and whatnot. But it’s definitely, there’s definitely like your basic functionality right now, whether you can turn your gas off, make sure your door is locked, adjust the bed of your partner that snoring next to you or whatever. You know, cause if you’re really looking at the high end options on a lot of things, almost everything as it.
